Junior programme

Junior performance programme.

A structured long-term development programme in three phases, from first-time players to tournament-ready. Starts at R200 per hour.

For parents

Building the padel athlete. Building their skill, their body and their mind.

Padel is more than learning how to hit a ball. For juniors, we believe development should build the complete player — technically, tactically, physically and mentally.

The Blueprint Junior Academy follows a structured three-phase pathway, allowing every player to develop at the right pace while tracking their progression along the way. From learning the game, to learning how to play it.

The pathway

Three phases. One progression.

Phase 1 — Futures

Build the foundations.

“I’m new to padel.”

Futures is where the journey begins. We develop the fundamental skills every young padel player needs — hand-eye coordination, ball tracking, movement, racket control and basic technique.

Through repetition and controlled exercises, we teach the brain and body to work together, helping players recognise the direction, pace and depth of the ball and position themselves accordingly.

The goal isn't to keep a junior in drills forever. We build the foundations quickly so they can get onto court, play games and fall in love with the sport.

Futures builds the body for padel.

Phase 2 — Fighters

Build the athlete. Build the game.

“I’m game ready.”

The player can track the ball, use the glass and is beginning to play matches. Now the game gets real. Fighters develops the player's ability to respond to pace, pressure and movement while understanding how to use the court.

We work on defensive positioning, corner and glass balls, volleys, body mechanics, consistency and court structure. But this is also where the athlete begins to develop — juniors are introduced to structured strength & conditioning, movement, athletic performance and mental development routines alongside their padel training.

Fighters builds the athlete and the game.

Phase 3 — Promises

Build the padel mind.

“I’m becoming a complete player.”

At this stage the player has developed consistency and understands the basic structure of the game. Now we develop their ability to think through the rally.

  • Why are you playing that ball?
  • Why that zone?
  • What are you leaving open?
  • When do you move forward, and when do you stay back?

Promises focuses on game planning, decision-making, anticipation and tactical awareness — creating a more predictable and repeatable game under pressure. Alongside advanced padel development, juniors continue their physical and psychological development, preparing them for the demands of competitive sport.

The goal is players who don't simply react to the game. They understand it.

The complete junior athlete

Padel. Strength. Mindset.

Our junior pathway doesn't treat athletic development and mental development as extras. They are part of the process.

01

Strength & conditioning

Juniors develop the physical qualities required to perform on court — strength, stability, speed, agility, coordination and explosive movement.

In partnership with Bio MechaniX, a professional biokinetics and athletic-performance team.

02

Mental & psychological development

Performance isn't only physical. Players are introduced to routines and principles that develop focus, discipline, resilience, accountability, confidence and emotional control.

They learn how to respond to mistakes, manage pressure and approach training with purpose — supported by a simple pre- and post-session journal.

03

Progression tracking

Every phase has a purpose. Players are assessed against the requirements of their current stage, so progression is based on development — not simply age or time spent playing.

We track the player, not just the score.
